Shattered And Gathered

It’s funny how we seem to race time and we always lose the race

The urge to talk to a person is somehow tamed by your ego

and the excitement you feel is buried under your neutral face

You’re scared of the consequences and the regrets so you let things go

Yet, it’s in those feelings you hate where all the magic takes place

it is the heat of the fight that makes the prize worth having

it is the time spent wondering that makes answers so satisfying

You run from a place to another to escape from the truth

that your heart knows but your mind denies

You waste all your beauty and all your youth

comforting yourself with some pretty little lies

As the sky gets darker, thoughts get deeper

Time flies fast and memories begin to fade

Imagine that the world you created inside your head becomes reality

and all the genies you had obeyed

Imagine that every word you say is inked on your body permanently

how things now could have changed!

Sometimes it takes a single word, a small rain to fire up the pile of emotions you’ve been hiding and expose all your pain

If only people could see beyond words and bare glances

if only people could know the real you

if only you haven’t lost the chances

to make a change and chase away the blues

There are things in life that you can’t understand no matter how hard you try

You always wonder why it happened and why God chose you among all people

you wonder about the reasons behind each sadness, behind each sigh

you try to fit the world inside the tiny eye of your needle

But when you look back, you can’t help but notice that this isn’t by chance

God has been planning it since the start

Trust God’s timing because it is perfect, so thank him in advance

with a prayer from the soul and from the heart

Sadness is the cocoon of your life

when you get over it you can finally fly

The caterpillar of your soul will soon emerge into a pretty little butterfly

  2. You really make it appear really easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I feel I might never understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely wide for me. I’m looking ahead to your next put up, I’ll attempt to get the hold of it!
